Role Purpose

The Solution Architect will design innovative architectural solutions and provide thought leadership, enabling delivery teams to exceed client expectations and ensure exceptional engagement and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Architectural Solution Design

  • Develop tailored architectural solutions for new deals and major change requests in existing contracts.
  • Build enterprise-wide architectures that are scalable, reliable, and manageable.
  • Provide clear solutioning for RFPs (Request for Proposals) and ensure design assurance throughout the process.
  • Define and implement a strategic approach for managing the portfolio of systems, shared infrastructure, and applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of customized solutions using modern technology.
  • Analyze the current state of existing solutions, identify opportunities for improvement, and propose future-state solutions.
  • Provide comprehensive documentation of architectural designs and solutions, addressing all relevant artifacts.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations to ensure that solutions align with customer needs, technology standards, and cost-effective strategies.

2. Collaboration & Leadership

  • Collaborate with IT teams, sales, and project management to ensure the seamless integration of solutions with the enterprise architecture.
  • Identify risks and proactively propose solutions to mitigate them.
  • Build strong relationships with executives, technical leaders, product owners, and other stakeholders to establish trust and offer technical guidance.
  • Provide strategic input during the planning phase and evaluate the feasibility of solutions from a technical and business perspective.
  • Identify potential implementation risks and ensure they are properly addressed.

3. Enabling Optimal Delivery Solutions

  • Guide the delivery teams in applying optimal delivery frameworks and solutions.
  • Lead multiple projects while ensuring quality assurance across architectural and design decisions.
  • Recommend tools and processes for reusability and automation to improve productivity and reduce cycle times.
  • Track the status of key assignments and manage project timelines while adhering to the highest project management standards.

4. Client Engagement & Thought Leadership

  • Assist the pre-sales team by presenting architecture solutions to clients, articulating their value clearly.
  • Coordinate with client teams to ensure that all requirements are met and that the proposed solutions have a significant impact.
  • Demonstrate technical expertise and thought leadership to build client trust and act as a trusted advisor throughout engagements.

5. Competency Building & Brand Recognition

  • Stay current with necessary certifications and training to enhance professional competency.
  • Develop and share innovative concepts through case studies, white papers, and proof-of-concept presentations based on market and customer research.
  • Contribute to Wipro’s thought leadership through publications and speaking engagements at relevant forums.
  • Gain industry recognition through analyst rankings, client testimonials, and other forms of acknowledgment.
  • Mentor junior architects and other team members, contributing to their career development and growth.

6. Team Management

  • Resourcing: Forecast new talent requirements and hire the right resources to meet market and client demands.
  • Talent Management: Onboard and train new team members, enhancing their skills and effectiveness. Focus on building a diverse leadership pool and ensuring career progression within the organization.
  • Performance Management: Set clear performance goals for team members, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback. Ensure alignment with performance management practices.
  • Employee Engagement: Lead initiatives to improve team satisfaction and engagement, track feedback, and implement improvements to enhance team morale and productivity.
